ISO Standards have an important role to play in the technologies, products and services of the future. As global trends shift and emerge, ISO is well-positioned to respond with standards that benefit everyone. To do this, we will be proactive about preparing for the future – with the ISO Standardization Foresight Framework.
Foresight is the process of looking forward in a structured and systematic way. Foresight tools and approaches are used to identify and understand what is changing now and what may change in the future. By anticipating potential change, foresight processes enable organizations to shift from a reactive to a proactive role towards future developments.
Across two workshops, we will
- discuss the concept of foresight practice and its relevance for our work;
- introduce the ISO Standardization Foresight Framework and discuss the pilot activities planned for 2021.
